About

I build things that have to keep running.

I'm a software & DevOps engineer based in Athens, Greece. I work at GRNET, the Greek national network and computing provider, building the digital infrastructure behind public services used by millions of citizens. On the side I run a few ventures.

What I do now

My day job is DevOps Engineer at GRNET. I run monitoring stacks for Greek institutions, a European Commission EBSI node and Gov.gr services.

Off-hours I'm building three things from Athens. LinkSentry is a SaaS for link-monitoring. devop.sh is a DevOps consulting practice for startups and teams. llcloud.app is a small mobile-app studio.

Background

MSc in Digital Systems Security (University of Piraeus, 9.33/10). BSc in Management Science & Technology (AUEB, 8.29/10). Erasmus year at Southern Denmark University in Odense. Red-team service with the Greek Army's KEPYES cybersecurity division.

How I think about my work

Most of what I do sits at the intersection of infrastructure, software and security. I try not to specialise into a single one for too long. They reinforce each other: the infra makes the software boring to operate, the security makes both auditable, the software writing keeps the platform honest. CKA and CKS in the cluster, Sphinx Kernel and a couple of papers on the software side, KEPYES and the security MSc on the third.
